It makes the job of increasing your website conversion rates
much easier when you use Email Marketing to capture the
details of your website visitors. Most websites have a
conversion rate of less than 1% which is a real shame as there
is no need to lose so much potential business.
The very last resort or goal of any website should be at
least to capture the email address of the visitor - this then
means you can contact them again so you have a second chance to
help them out. In fact you have as many chances as you like
unless they unsubscribe from your list!
Let's say a typical website receives say 1000 visitors per
month which results in 10 sales. (This is a 1% conversion rate
which is ok).
If they decide to start collecting email addresses, they
will still make 10 sales plus collect potentially 100 email
addresses. They might well make 20 new sales from their email
campaign which equals 30 sales from just the same number of
visitors...
